At-Risk Youth:
Cedar Tree, Inc. conducts writing workshops for at-risk youth in a variety of settings including detention centers, schools and community centers.
Students at New Futures High School for young mothers learn to set goals for success and overcome challenges to learning. 
Juvenile offenders' life-based experiences are used as the source material for literary workshops. Participants learn to explore, without the duress of guilt, the crimes they've committed, primarily against themselves. Assumptions are shattered and identification of destructive patterns rise to the surface for study and healing. 
Men's Prison Project:
Through literary workshops prisoners are taught to break down the roadblocks to re-entry and overcome the destructive cycles of addiction. 
Women's Prison Project:
Women prisoners rediscover their voices through writing that inspires life transformation and helps prepare for life outside the walls. 
Environmental Literacy Project:
Cedar Tree, Inc. believes that Mother Earth repairs the traumatized spirit. By reconnecting to the spiritual legacy of the land urban youth and adults reclaim their convictions for healthy living and build inner strength. 
Community Outreach:
Cedar Tree, Inc. operates several ongoing projects within the community: internships, publishing opportunities, scholarships, and book drives and donations.
